As a Swindon fan I appalled with the shambles that the teams board of directors seems to be in. They keep all the finances secret so that no one knows how bad the situation is, and try to avoid giving any real answers to serious questions. On top of that they refuse to talk the the fans Trust, the rich guys that everyone wants to see take over (and in the process clear our debts.) and seem intent on building a new ground OUTSIDE of the Swindon area. Are they insane. Without supporters there is no team! Does anyone else agree with me that fans should have some say in what happens. After all, we do pay a lot of money to watch!! |

Yeah, I totally agree that fans should have a much greater say in their clubs fortunes. A couple of example that I can point to off of the top of my head are:- Notts County - Their fans trust bought their club and brought them back from the brink of financial disaster very successfully. Wimbledon - Look at what meddling did to them! As a Swindon fan myself, I see no reason why the club didn't sell to Bill Power. He knew what he was doing and would've been great fro the club. And after all he went through with his plane crash on the way back from the Hartlepool game last year. A true legend. Pull your finger out, board, and give Power his powers back! How many times have the board told us they have an anonymous buyer only for it to fall through? |
