Having watched the Swindon Town vs Leeds game the other day, must bring up something that I noticed at the end of the game. Leeds' Keeper (Please refer to him as Mr X for legal reasons) appearing to throw a small object at the Swindon fans aggressively. This sort of behaviour should never be allowed, especially when there is already lots of heat between the fans. If you saw anything, post your comment her and I'll forward them on to the FA, Leeds and the player involved for comment. This sort of behaviour ruins the game. Lets help to route it out! |

All I saw was the keeper throw a small object (looked yellow/orange in colour from where I was) into the crowd towards where some kids were sat. The throw definately appeared as if it was agressive, however it didn't look like it was thrown at any idividual fan, but instead towards a group of young fans. In my view this is totally disgusting and the FA, with enough evidence should step in! If someone threw this at the keeper then they should also get into trouble if the County Ground have footage of the incident. |

Having spoken to the FA, they have confirmed to me that they are currently investigating the event. |

From what I saw I agree with Swindonfan4. My understanding is that a member of the crowd threw the object at the Leeds 'keeper. This fan, I was told (and this could be misinfomation that I was told), was then arrested by the police. If this is true, why was the Leeds 'keeper not also detained for his indiscriminant retaliation? After all there's no telling who he coluld have hit. Is there anyone who could confirm that the fan was arrested or not? |

Good News! It looks like the FA have been true to their word and have taken action. They have slapped Casper Ankergren with a ban for improper conduct. The Dane, 28, has until April Fools day to appeal against the decision. It's unclear as to how long the ban will be for if he doesn't contest it. As soon as I have this information, I'll post it here. |

It's a three match ban and a fine according to The Mirror. Please be aware that this is an external link and Footballysm cannot be held responsible for anything on the site. All information on that site also remains the sole copyright of The Mirror newspaper/website. |

He was wrong to do what he did and the FA have punished him for it. Players always get verbal abue from the fans. How could a club possibly stop their fans from doing this? Also, from the reports I've heard, the fan who threw the item was arrested at the match and charged by the police. Is this not action? Mr Bates, I think you've finally lost it! Surely you can see that your comments are ridiculous and biased. I'm not just getting at Kasper here, but instead at all players who act out against fans in this way or similar. I must, however, commend Casper for admitting the charges despite Mr Bates' comments. Finally this matter can be laid to rest. |
